Hello WoodMart support team,
I’m experiencing a conflict with variable products in WoodMart 8.3.4 and the “Hide main variable product” option in the product grid.
Context
• The global option “Show variations as separate products” is enabled.
• The global option “Hide main variable product in grid” is also enabled.
• WoodMart allows excluding specific products from showing their variations using the option:
“Exclude product variations in the grid” in the product edit screen → General → Product Settings.
Problem
Currently, the behavior is:
1. For products not excluded, variations are shown individually and the parent product is hidden correctly. ✅
2. For products excluded (I marked “Exclude product variations in the grid”), variations do not appear, but the parent product is also hidden due to the global setting. ❌
3. This causes these products to disappear completely from the grid, which is not expected.
Expected behavior
• Parent products should only be hidden if their variations are displayed as individual products.
• Products with variations excluded should remain visible in the grid, even if their variations are hidden.
Question
Is there a way for WoodMart to respect the per-product exclude variations setting, but only hide the parent product if its variations are visible?
If not, could you suggest the recommended approach to achieve this behavior correctly?
Thank you in advance for your help.
