    Hi,

If you try to use sticky nav icons on mobile, and the scroll hasn’t come to a complete stop before you do, you have to tap twice. The first tap simply pauses the scroll; the second executes the nav item function.

Expecting users to wait for the page to stop and only them tap the icon isn’t realistic (it’s not something they think about or do), so it feels broken to them. So the nav item function should be executed on that first click.

Is this something you’re aware of / working on?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme, switch the parent theme, and check the issue, If the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.

if the problem remains, even after the plugins are deactivated, please, provide your site admin access to the private area.

Please confirm the permit for us to deactivate the plugins not related to the theme and switch to the parent theme for the while of checking what may take up to 15 minutes. Please make the full backup of your site.

    Best Regards

    Hi Elise,

The problem persists after deactivating all plugins but Woodmart Code and switching to the parent theme.

It also exists in your own demos on mobile (for example: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/demo-accessories/demo/accessories/).

So I trust that you can test it yourselves and don’t need access to our site?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by WooСommerce.

    Best Regards

    Dear Elise,
    I don’t understand your reply.
As I was saying, the problem exists on your own demo site. Why would you need access to our site to resolve it?

Sorry for misunderstanding. Following double tap behavior of the page you are talking about in your first message – it’s the default work of the mobile browser. After scrolling is started, first tap always will stop the scroll and only after that interactive page elements like buttons or links can be pressed.

You can see this behavior for yourself by looking at other sites with fixed header or mobile nav bar on the mobile devices:

    https://themes.woocommerce.com/storefront/shop/
    https://envato.com/
    https://www.apple.com/

Since this behavior is depends on the browser, its cant be changed via WordPress theme.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Bogdan,

    Thanks for your reply.
A few years ago I worked on a mobile web app and our development team have addressed this issue by identifying the new tap action and stopping the scroll before executing the new action. So I know this can be done, but I’m not a developer so couldn’t tell you how they did it…

Is this something you are likely to look into in the future?

    Thanks,

Since this it default browser behaviour and default WordPress and WooCommerce themes work in same way we dont have plan to change this in the future.

    Kind Regards
