Woodmart with WPML footer settings

Hi,
we are setting up a multilingual site with WPML and page/articles/products content translation works just fine.
I can’t manage to set a different footer (both Copyright section and widgets) for the different langauges: I tried to set a different content in the copyright text box with the second language (german) selected, but it affects also the main language (italian). Am I missing something, how do I manage that?
