Attribute field only show when brand is selected?

On the shop page, how can I make it so that certain filters are only shown when another is selected? I have a few brands, and inside those brands there’s a lot of ‘lines’ of products. So each brand could have about 20 lines. This really clutters the filter field if I can’t hide it until brand is selected.

I couldn’t figure it out by myself so I hope you can provide a solution!
