Child theme created but email templates not copying over
-
Hi, I recently was sent and installed a child theme to prevent updates on certain aspects etc.. In doing so, one of my plugins will not allow me to assign email templates (its a subscriptio plugin set of emails for subscription order confirmations etc) to the child theme. All standard email templates I have been able to copy over to the child theme as it described in the settings (woodmart-child/woocommerce/emails/…) however the subscriptio emails do not have the option to copy over. I believe possibly this is due to there being no folder to hold them? I have added three images in the private area to show what I’m looking at, you will notice that the ‘non-subscription’ example shows that the template has been copied over but the subscriptio example hasn’t.
I’d also like to note that prior to installing a child theme, they worked perfectly when a subscription order was placed. Please can you help?
Thanks!
Hello,
You need to contact plugin’s developers for help in this situation since it can’t be a theme error or bug. The child theme is an empty theme and it doesn’t have any functionality at all. If any code in the child theme doesn’t work as you expected then it is a code’s problem, not the theme.
Kind Regards
Hi There,
I have been in contact with the developer of the plugin and found that basically for the email templates to be copied over to the child theme (they worked perfectly before the child theme was installed), they need to be applied to the templates folder in cPanel. However, there is no email templates folder in the Woodmart theme it would seem, could you assist me please, maybe I am seeing this wrong?
Please see the private area for the information regarding copying over the templates to a child theme which I cannot complete as detailed above.
Hi,
Yes, our theme doesn’t have this folder since it is a WooCommerce functionality and not related to our theme at all. All this information should be found in the plugin’s documentation and we don’t have instructions for this.
Kind Regards
