Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme, and check the issue again. After the update, the plugins which were compatible could become incompatible. Activate then one by one, detecting which one causes the problem.

As soon as I have activated all the plugins AJAX add to cart does not work again. It redirects to the page. Some of the plugins conflicts. Now deactivate all the plugins and detect which one causes the problem.
