axlimperialParticipantHi,
I just bought the theme so that I could update it. My original site is https://axlimperial.com but I performed the update on the staging site https://stagingspeed.axlimperial.com.
If you look at the original site and the site after the update you will see that it is completely messed up. I have the child theme installed so I don’t understand why everything got messed up. Can you please help me fix this by actually telling me what I should do.May 10, 2019 at 12:26 pm #123071
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Thank you very much for choosing our theme and for contacting us.
I have switched to the parent theme and deactivated all the plugins not related to the theme your site is working https://gyazo.com/138ac8e21c3559e0065a0978ce87db3c
Now activate the plugins one by one checking the site to detect which one causes the crash. Finaly enable the child theem. As soon as you understand what is the reason of the problem, you will know how to fix it on your live site.
Best Regards

axlimperialParticipantHi,
I don’t think the problem is with the plugins. I enabled all the plugins one by one and everything is ok. The problem is when I enable the child theme. This is not supposed to happen. Can you please check what the problem with the child theme is.
ThanksMay 12, 2019 at 8:30 pm #123382
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Reinstall the child theme. Find the child theme in the theme folder, or send me your email into the private area I will send you. Seems that the child theme has been damaged or you have added a customization code which brakes the site.
Best Regards

axlimperialParticipantIsn’t the whole purpose of the child theme to keep the customizations that I have on my site? If I re install the child theme then I will lose everything.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Your customization code may contain errors which cause the problem.
Best Regards

axlimperialParticipantOf course there is something wrong. But the customization works just fine with the older version. So that means that it should work with the new version.

Artem TemosKeymasterOf course, it is not possible to guarantee that your customizations will work with new versions of the theme, WordPress or any of the installed plugins. And actually, there is nothing wrong with the theme and if you have problems with your own customizations you will have them with any theme you use. Anyway, if you want, you can request a refund here https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new

axlimperialParticipantI managed to fix the website with my developer. There where huge differences from the version we had to this one but finally we managed to fix everything. My only question is about wpbakery. Shouldn’t we have the latest version installed? Doesn’t it come along with the theme?
I have version 5.7 and it says to update to 6.0.1.May 16, 2019 at 1:28 pm #124067
Artem TemosKeymasterTry to reinstall the plugin now and you will have the latest version 6.0.1.

axlimperialParticipantHi can you please tell me how to reinstall. When I try to update it tells me unable to update. I didn’t find it in the themes plugins. So how do I reinstall?
May 23, 2019 at 11:19 am #125334
Artem TemosKeymasterYou can do this via Appearance -> Install plugins.
