shop: how to show products in 6 columns, but categories in 3 columns?

    Hi

    my shop and categories are either showing subcategories, or products (if there are no more subcategories).

    How do I make subcategories to be displayed in 3 columns like https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/?opt=only_categories and products to be displayed in 6 columns like https://demo.xtemos.com/basel/shop/?shop6?

    Hello,

    In this case, the grid will be the same for both categories and products. Unfortunately, there is no option to show a different number of categories and products.

    Hi Elise,

    my client selected your theme because there were all these options in the demo to use 3, 4 or 6 columns. In the demo, I can see it IS possible. Why not in the actual website?

    How do you do it in the demo? I’ll do the same on our website.

    Hello,

    Let’s clear up the options.

    Product grid in the shop page can have 2,3,4,6 columns https://prnt.sc/p8fgil you can set it in the Theme Settings > Shop > Products columns

    When you set showing both categories and products in the shop page, the number of the categories in the row will be the same as you have set in the Theme Settings > Shop > Products columns

    There is a Product Category element in WP Bakery page builder which can be inserted in any page and it has the option to set 1,2,3,4,6 columns.

    1. how do I insert the WP Bakery page builder Product Category element into the category page?

    2. Also, as you can see on https://herzog.d0r1an.de/uhrarmbaender-test/ I’ve used the WP Bakery page builder Product Category element and there is compatibility issues with your theme css (I’m referring to a large screen):

    The setting is 1 row of 100%, within that row the Product Category element is setup with 3 categories within 1 column.
    But the result is 6 columns..?!

    The problematic code is 

    .col-md-2 {
    width: 16.66666667%;
}

    and also

    .col-sm-4 {
    width: 33.33333333%;
}

    in /themes/basel/css/bootstrap.min.css?ver=4.8.1

    Please advise.

    3. Also please be so kind to tell me where I can find the code that creates the
    .basel-products-holder
    on the shop archives. I’ll have to build the different column archives myself I guess.

    1. Create an HTML block insert the element you need and add the HTML block shortcode into the Description field of the Product category https://prnt.sc/p8uzrr

    2. Provide your site admin access I will check the setting of the Product categories and Product category element.
