saugatakoleyParticipantHi. My website lags while loading. The homepage lags a lot. Firstly, It will take about 10 -12 seconds to load the home page. However, all the images are smushed and optimized. The content would load in almost 2 or 3 seconds but the functions on the same page won’t work until the page load is complete. I have tried removing all custom css and then loading the page. The result was not any better. The shop page and the product page will load in 2 – 3 seconds. However, product pages with variable products would load for 10 seconds or sometimes even more. This is not a server issue. I tried using cloud servers with 15 GB RAM and 4 Cores VCPU. The result was the same. Please check the linked video. Customers will go away if the site takes so long to load up and also to load up the functionalities within. Please do something about it. Please.

Artem TemosKeymasterHi,
The problem is related to your website optimization. Your home page loading time is too long and all JS scripts like sliders and carousels are initializing after the page is loaded. So only after the loader in the browser end spinning. Try to create an empty page with a few blocks from the home page to check it without all the elements.
Kind Regards

saugatakoleyParticipantI have tried making an empty page.
Just with header and footer. Loads in about a sec or some more.
Added 1 row of content {button, title & product carousel}. Loads in 2 seconds.
Added another row with same elements. Loads in 3-4 seconds.
Added another row. loads in 5-7 seconds.
Added another one. Loads in 10 -12 seconds.Loading time is increasing with every row I put there.

Artem TemosKeymasterPlease, create a page with two-three rows and send us a link. Actually, simple rows shouldn’t increase the loading time so much. Probably, you have some problems with your hosting server.

saugatakoleyParticipantI have refreshed everything and created a new page with the default retail 2 demo. Just changed the pictures from the demo and added 3 rows more. Please check if the loading time is correct. Is there any way to load images and other stuffs later as user scrolls down?
Please check the private content.September 28, 2019 at 7:51 pm #147201
Artem TemosKeymasterThis page loads in 1-1.5 seconds and that is extremely fast https://gyazo.com/0e3b14ee2b29b00a63ab4b00b345994b

saugatakoleyParticipantYes. That’s not my website. That’s a seperate website for reference purpose. Just to show you the lazy loads and speed. Is there any way to achieve that or anything near to that? I have tried using higher number of CPUs and RAMs for my website mreego.com. It doesnt make any difference.

Artem TemosKeymasterHave you created a test page that we asked you? Please, send us a direct link to that. And you can enable lazy loading in Theme Settings -> Performance.

saugatakoleyParticipantHello! I have created a test page. Please check the private content.

Artem TemosKeymasterSeems to be your server problem since even small CSS files requires 800-1200 ms to load https://gyazo.com/b09781b3469b5cfe2f8a6a1b6441f06b
And you main server response takes 3 seconds that is quite slow.September 30, 2019 at 8:04 am #147490
saugatakoleyParticipantHi there,
Thank you for testing. However, I should tell you that I am using GCP (Google Cloud Platform) for my servers. 15 GB RAM and 4 VCPUs configuration and also SSD for server storage. Are you sure that it’s because of my server? I have tried other themes on this same Virtual Machine instance and didn’t face the issue.
On this theme the Java scripts and CSS are loading after the whole page loads. Is it possible to load everything simultaneously?
Kindly,advise.September 30, 2019 at 12:01 pm #147562
Artem TemosKeymasterBut it is not about our theme’s files but actually about all files on your website. There are a lot of different JS and CSS files from the core and installed plugins and all of them are loading slowly.
