Dashboard icons menu – Gain in performance

Dear,

If I turn off the feature “Dashboard icons menu” that ads icons in the my account page, does this lead to some gain in loading as it loads less elemnets?

I ask because if the elements are still being loaded but just not displayed, then I’d rather keep showing them. I’d turn this off only if you assure me that this does not load the according ressources.
