    Hello,

I need to start trying to translate the theme files for German. However I only want to translate the front-end strings, as the backend I only use English (and I do not have the time to do all translations)!

Is there any way we can seprate the frontend strings from backend (admin) strings? They are all mixed togetehr it seems and I have no idea which are which. Do you maybe have an excel file or something else which shows me which strings are used in the front-end?

    Help appreicated.
    Thank you.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no file. Loco translate does not have the option to dive. You would better use the search. Our theme does not have a lot of front-end strings. It would not take much time. More time would be required for translation of cart, checkout and other Woocommerce and rest plugins strings.

Thanks for your reply. The problem is if I do not know what strings are used in the front end, how do I search for them? A lot of them I guess are theme system messages which you do not always see… anyhow will have a go!

    Hello,

You need to check the footer and header and take the strings which are not edited, for example, the main menu is edited and you create it in your language initially, the search cannot be edited, you will need to find this string.

Yes it is more your theme system messages which we need to look out for (which are not so easy to find), but thanks for your tips.

    Hello,

All the system messages relate to plugins, for example, Woocommercee. You need to translate them in Loco > Plugins > Woocommerce.

Our theme has one message about cookies. It is translated in the Theme Settings > Shop > Cookies. Besides, check the messages in the Theme Settings > Login/Register.
