I just purchased my third license for Woodmart but am having update issues with two of my existing websites.
All of our websites have Paypal and Afterpay as check out options. Everything was working fine until today, when I updated the two older websites to Woodmart 4.2.
We had a customer contact us tonight stating that when she tried checking out with Paypal, she got this error message, which wouldn’t let her check out: “forbidden dangerous network”. We tried it ourselves and got the same error message and then got a second message that said: “please try again without VPN.” Initially this error message was showing when trying to check out with both Paypal or Afterpay.
We called Bluehost (our hosting company) and the rep there tried trouble shooting. He had us turn off the Clean Talk plug in (which was only on one of the sites), and we also removed Tawk.to, which is a “chat” software, that we had just added the end of last week.
The newest website, that we bought the third Woodmart theme for is still running V4.0 and has ZERO problems. You can check out with Paypal or Afterpay, with Woodmart V4.0, and the Talk.to software is also working along with it.
On the two websites that were updated to Woodmart V2, we can check out with Paypal now, but when trying to use Afterpay, it resolves to Afterpay’s website but says: “Sorry, It looks like something went wrong. Please close the window and try again.”
Apparently there was some known issue with Clean Talk, but we only had that on one website and it has been turned off.
We are having our hosting company roll back our one website to November 1st, when it still had Woodmart 4.0 on it. They say it can take 12-24 hours.
We process a lot of orders using Afterpay, so we need this fixed ASAP.
