I actually have the same issue as described in this topic:

Like some of the other Basel/woodmarkt-theme buyers, i would like to let the customer be able to select the quantity of a simple product, right on the product list page.
First i was looking for an option to show the quick-shop view for simple products.
But then i saw that you refered to https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/override-loop-template-and-show-quantities-next-to-add-to-cart-buttons/ in the topic mentioned above.
I added that snippit code to my child-theme functions.php
Now it shows the quantity selector and i’m pretty happy with it.
BUT, when i press ‘add to cart/in den Warenkorb’ it opens the cart widget. But the product is not added to the cart….
In the topic mentioned above it looks like you were able to fix this
Could you help me out with this?

Thanks! That helped. The simple product(s) are now added to the cart via the product list page, whilst a quantity is selected.
But after it is added, it does not open the cart widget anymore. Instead, it shows a message on top of the page. Which is very disorientating and annoying when using mobile. This applies when adding a simple or variable product.
What should I do to let the cart widget open again after a product is added to the cart?

After I add an product to the cart, I would like the cart widget to be displayed. Like it did before.
I do have the setting: dashboard > theme settings > shop > Action after add to cart=display widget

Please check if you have set the Hidden sidebar in the Shopping cart position https://prnt.sc/pw8x2e
If you have and it does not work, please provide your site admin access as the credentials provided earlier are not workable.

You see you have disabled AJAX and the shopping cart in sidebar works provided AJAX has been enabled, so you need to make the decision: to use the shopping cart or quantity in the grid as it is not possible to use both.
