Brands from Categories are not displayed

Previously, Brands from Categories were displayed.
After the updates, the Brands have changed, and they are not taken from the Categories. Do not understand why?

Hello,
1. Create Brand attribute and configure the items https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/
2. Navigate to the Theme Settings > Shop > Brand > select and set the Brand attribute in the drop-down, save.

Created attributes.
In each product added attributes.
I had to tinker.
