In general, our theme is already optimized and don’t have too many resources to make your website slow. Most likely, your website performance suffers from the content you have added to your website. It may happen in case of too many plugins, large not optimized images or other resources. So we suggest you to remove unnecessary plugins, install some kind of JS & CSS optimizing plugins like Better WordPress Minify and a caching plugin like WP Super Cache or use WP Rocket for both tasks. Also, you can use GTmetrix tool to see what makes your website slow and optimize these parts of your website.

You call this generic answer a support? There is no new content nor plugins on the web site, only thing that changed is the theme update. Website is already running Autoptimize plugin, ShortPixel Image Optimizer (CDN for all images on website) and WP Fastest Cache Premium.
Also, I just noticed that my social icons are now squares…

As the square boxes are shown except of icons in your site to fix this try to regenerate the CSS from WoodMart >> CSS generator.
Also, please go to Theme Settings and resave it and check your site after removing the browser cache.
Also you need to make sure that the “http” or “https” used in URL must be the same in both “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” from Settings >> General.
If the icons still not shown and pages still loading indefinitely then share your website admin login credentials so I can check and help you out.
