ToriTori38ParticipantHello,
My development site is suffering from excessive CPU usage, which sadly is causing my hosting provider Siteground to occassionally block my IP (as I have surpassed their CPU seconds allowance). This is happening every so often with your theme and I need to find out why. Below I have shown you an excerpt from the current access log. My IP has been making an average of 60 requests per second towards our development site, and I am the only one working on it (saving pages on backend mainly).
This is not normal, and if you look at the excerpt below you will see that the requests are all related to wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments. Well the get_refreshed_fragments is used by WC and is triggered with each page load. I believe it is possible that there is some script in your theme which is excessivly triggering this. It should certainly not be triggered 60 times a second. Can you kindly please look into this for me? My host support said this:
please restrict the calls to get_refreshed_fragments…. please significantly reduce it’s intensity.
Thanks for your help on this matter.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress theme like twentysixteen to understand is it our theme issue or not? Check if the request is sent each time you reload your page with default theme and our WoodMart and send us screenshots so we can check.
Regards

ToriTori38ParticipantHi there,
It is very hard to check by switching themes as I do not know how to reproduce the issue. I also am not a developer so I do not have the skills to locate the problem.
I will ask a WordPress developer to look at this problem for me, to help see where the issue is.
Thanks

ToriTori38ParticipantHi there,
I have recreated the issue and it is causing a massive flood of processes to be executed – namely the wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments script. This then effectivly either causes a 500 server error or gets our IP address blocked via our hosting – due to maxing out all our CPU allowances.
The bug seems to be coming from the “WooCommerce categories” WPBakery element, and when you try and update the page via your theme (which may or my not be in conflict with WPML). I am paying a developer to look at this, but this is something I will need you to look at. I will wait for the developer to check my findings out to see if he can locate the issue more precisely. I will then report back to you.

ToriTori38ParticipantHi there,

ToriTori38ParticipantQuick update. It is not theme related, so that is good news. I have spent a whole day on this and can can see it comes from the WooCommerce Multilingual plugin… anyhow, thanks for listening.
