Hi, every time a user registers on my site he is automatically assigned the role of “customer”.
I have tried several ways, both with plugins and wordpress settings, but no results.
I tried a theme downloaded for free from wordpress and everything works regularly.
Why can’t I change the default role of users who register on the site with the Woodmart theme?
Is there anything in the theme code that prevents this from working?
How can I solve it?
Ok, I understand that if the user registers from wp-login.php everything works properly; then the default role is assigned as it should.
However, if the user registers through the registration form of the theme / or facebook login, the user role is directly assigned to it.
I suppose this happens because the registration form refers to woocommerce, right?
Is there a way to define the default role that is not a client?

As far as I know, Woocommerce does not provide the option to change the user status. I have heard that there are plugins that provide the option.
