AJAX Search Slow on Website?

    Hi,

    Just switched over to the Woodmart theme and it’s superb.

    However before I was using another plugin for AJAX search and it was quite quick. After swapping to the inbuilt theme search I find the results aren’t as quick as they used to be.

    Weirdly however after some testing, if you’re searching by the first 3 letters of the product the results are much quicker than if you search for a whole item (it makes a considerable amount of difference).

    I’ve attached my domain below, i’d appreciate some advice if possible!

    Hi,

    I’m not quite sure what you mean. If I test my website search it takes approx 10 seconds or more to search for products by their product name e.g. Genesis Vapour, Croix de Fer

    However if I search by the first 3 letters of the product it finds results in 1-2 seconds, for example Shi, R08, MX1

    If you try this, you’ll see what I mean.

    It seems that when you enter more then 3-5 symbols, your server can’t handle these requests quite fast. Could you please try to install some AJAX search plugin and check how it works also? And contact your hosting provider to check these requests speed from their side as well.

    Hi,

    I’ve installed Advanced Woo Search and added the widget to the shop page. This plugin search does appear to be quicker. Please try this for yourself and let me know what you think.

    More examples: Genesis Vapour 30, Marin Bobcat Trail 3, Axiom Modular Grandtour, Avid Tri Dangle Cable

    Could you please disable all external plugins and send us your admin and FTP access so we can compare them?
