rrrrobParticipantThis site is loaded on our internal .test environment. We have had it tabled for a few months. We are now back to dealing with it.
The first thing we did was apply all of the updates. When we updated WoodMart, and the supporting plugins, the site now has all sorts of css issues. It looks like the problem is in the WPBakery Interface. I’m seeing warning X’s in the interface css area. All sorts of expected and unexpected messages that were not there before the update.
Frankly, everything showed as perfectly fine until the update. This part of the site was complete and functioning perfectly. Can you please direct me to where the documentation is on how to fix whatever this update did to my existing site. I am currently stuck until I hear back, because I don’t want to go further and cause more of an issue than I’m currently seeing.
I am very unhappy with this. If the update causes these sorts of issues then there should be some sort of documentation in the update folder warning me of the issue and further information on how to correct it.

rrrrobParticipantSorry, as I said in my previous message this site is currently only located on our development server ( .test ) and is not publicly accessible. We were on the verge of making that happen when these updates started causing issues. Sense we left the message last night we determined that part of the problem was a caching issue. That has been corrected. However the main issues with these warnings still remains.
I will attach a couple of screen shots.
You see when we click on the CSS gear in the upper right corner of the WPBakery Page Builder window, we get the Page Settings window that says Custom CSS settings. There you see the red X’s on the left of the lines. When one hovers over the red X’s, one gets the popup window with the messages previously mentioned. By the way there seems to be no way to scroll the popup message. One can only see what you see there and it seems obvious that there is more information to the top or upward direction, but no apparent way to access it.
any way… these errors only showed up after the update to the new version of the Theme (WoodMart) and the WPBakery update. I have seen that the Theme has a major change that pertains to CSS so I have reached out to you. I’m not 100% sure if this is an issue with WPBakery, the theme, or a combination of the two. That is why I have reached out to both.
Frankly I am not 100% sure where it is getting this CSS information. I don’t remember ever editing CSS in this location. I am uncertain of what I’m looking at in this Custom CSS Settings window because I don’t remember ever writing code that looks like what I am seeing. I know exactly where I have been placing the custom CSS for this site and when I go there everything looks fine there. So this is a bit confusing. I admit I may be missing something that should seem obvious,
Please let me know if you need further information in order to clear this up.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I’m glad that you fixed a part of issue which occur due to cache.
As your Wp-Bakery page CSS area not working as expected. Also you said that these issues
occur after the theme update. I also saw your provided screenshots. Could you please disable
all the third party plugins and switch to parent theme(if you are running child currently) and then check back after clearing your site and browser cache. This will surely fix the issue.Best Regards.

rrrrobParticipantThis looks like some sort of WoodMart theme code.
I’m not sure where it came from.
Is it left behind from some previous version of the theme?

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I saw the code you attached. It’s not the theme code its WP-Bakery page builder code. It seems that your WP-Bakery Page Builder is not working fine. You can try Re-installing the WP-Bakery Page Builder and generate CSS file again. This will fix your issue.
Also, please make sure that you are using the latest Woodmart theme with latest WP version and updated theme plugins.
Best Regards.

rrrrobParticipantHello,
I am using the latest versions of everything. Doing the updates is when this showed up. I never used this CSS area in question. I use the custom CSS under the theme settings area for this sites customized CSS. Thus why I am questioning where this code (CSS) came from. I simply removed the code (CSS) from this area and it seems everything is working correctly. The only place I found this mystery code is on the home page. All other pages seem to be fine.
It doesn’t look like 100% WPBakery code, it looks like original basic template code wrapped with WPBakery code. It doesn’t look like custom site code at all. I am going to continue testing without this code (CSS). It looks like default template information. I see lourm ipsum, I see links to the theme site, I don’t see anything that seems relevant. The home page seems to be functioning correctly without it.
I am going to go forward testing without it. I would like to know if any of it looks like it is necessary. If I knew it was necessary, and I knew what that necessary code was, and I knew where that necessary code should be found, I would look and see if it was currently present where it should be.
waiting for response,
thanks for the helpFebruary 7, 2020 at 6:44 am #172035
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Most Welcome!!.
We are Glad that you resolved the issue by yourself. You are great!!.
As far as the site is working fine for you without this code then you can remove it.
I saw the code it doesn’t looked like important to me, So you don’t need to worry about the code
