Uncropped vs 1×1 Thumbnail Cropping

    Hello there

    I want to display products on the website as a 1×1 ratio to ensure they’re all inline when viewing our store.

    However, when I do this, the thumbnail for categories display differently. I’m looking for a way to display category thumbnails as uncropped but product thumbnails as 1×1. What would be the best way to do this?

    I’ve attached a side by side of the category thumbnails to show what I mean.

    Hello,

    Yes, the image configuration are applied both for product thumbnails and product thumbnails. We cannot change that. The best way is to upload images of the same size and proportion.

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    The only issue with this is we have over 9000+ images when we come to import all of our stock and a lot are different dimensions so for continuity, we need to keep product thumbnails at a 1×1 ration.

    For the product category images, I’ve created the images for uncropped to give it a larger view of the category image. Is there a way to separate the product category images from the product thumbnails so we can have these as two separate dimensions?

    Unfortunately, there is no way to differentiate the category thumbnails and product thumbnails.
