I saw the screenshot you attached.
If you want to hide empty categories from the widget filter you can disable them from Appearance >> Widgets >> Shop page widget area.

1) To edit the shop filter you need to Go to Appearance >> Widgets >> Shop filters.

Note: You cannot edit the filter by price and sort by filter because they are set by default.
2) You need to edit the html block used in the promo popup text area under Theme Settings >> Shop >> Promo Popup.
