I watched the video you attached. The variations work in combination when you select both more than one attributes as a single variation.
You need to select the color then size only then the variation image will be displayed. And its default WooCommerce functionality. Our theme doesn’t influence this.

You misread me – I want the variation to show an image not a drop down box. How do I get this? I deleted size, and it’s still showing as drop down box.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. To replace the dropdowns you need to Go to Products >> Attributes >> Configure items >> Then edit the items one by one and enable the option mentioned in the screenshot.

Unfortunately, there is no option in Theme Settings to do it automatically. Because the attributes are WooCommerce functionality and our theme doesn’t influence this.
You can try adding any third party plugin that better meets your requirements.
