change WC category default sorting to the wc custom

for now somehow my WC categories are set to sort by default from the cheapest to the most expensive – and i would like to know how can i control this – or if there’s a way to set it to the the WC customized order wither by default or by category…
b.t.w – this is not how it’s set in the customizer
Appearance > Customize > Woocommerce > Product Catalog > Default sorting.

Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme.
