Quantity in shop displaying but not adding in cart

I am using a code snippet found in the official woocomerce website. I have added the code to the functions.php. The quantity of the product appears as i would like but when i change the quantity and press the add to cart button, my cart is not updated.
I would like some help regarding the subject if possible please.

Our support does not cover fixing third parties code. If the site does not work correctly remove this code. Try to find a plugin.

What do you mean by 3rd party code..it’s from the official woocomerce Website…it’s not a third party Plugin…it’s a code snippet from the woocomerce Website..am I missing something?

Our theme is compatible with Woocommerce 100% however our support does not cover Woocommerce customization or fixing. Please contact the Woocommerce support or forum on this issue. We deal with the theme issues only. Sometimes we can suggest how to configure this or that in Woocoomerce or give custom CSS for minor changes though it is not covered by our support either.
