Search Form in English switches to German Language after search query

Hello,

when I search aanything on English Site then it immediately switches to German site showing that it has no results found.

Hello,

Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by Woocommerce.

Hello,

Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, please update Woocommerce and check the issue.

With “Storefront” it worked fine ! So it means is an issue with your Theme !

Please make the full backup of your site and confirm the permit to disable the plugins and check the issue on the Storefront theme.

Hello Elise,

I checked something and found following. Which shows that your Search Button and Search Widget is not working !

1. I used the standard Search Widget on the Site it works fine.
2. When I use eighter the Search on the Header or the Woodmart Search AJAX on the left side.
It comes to the Error. Which shows that your Search is creating the Problem. When I enter something and press Enter then it switches to the German site !

If you want you can change the Theme to Storefront and deactivate the Plugins as well!

When Finished set all Back as it was !

Hello,

I did not switch to the Storefornt and did not touch the plugins.

The Search in sidebar works https://prnt.sc/tj1xzx You need to set the language in the widget https://prnt.sc/tj1ysx and then add one mover search and set English. The English shop would have an English search and German would have German search.

Then translate your header. https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/faq-guides/translate-header-wpml/ and then check the isseu.

Hello,

I did like in your Email now I created 2 seperate Headers one for German and one for English connected them and add them to the Homepage like described.

Still I have the issue. When I go to Search on English Header or on English Widget from you and enter a Searchsting and press Enter it switches to German !!!

Using Widget of WP it works !

Please fix that Issue by yourself as I dont know what is still missing.

Try to find the product and provide page URL with the problem if any, does this product has the translation?

Hello,

The reason was some custom code in the child theme. I just have changed child theme to the parent and it works: https://gyazo.com/1286af9565d17c03d549f8dcaad3e5d0

Check the search on the parent WoodMart theme as I asked in the very beginning. If you have any problems, deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, check the issue.

Hello,

very Strange that it works now.

As we in the begining testes with Woodmart Theme /Storefront etc. I send you all Screenshot from that as well it dindt work.

Now you say it works and it works for both for Woodmart Theme and the Child Theme as well which you say was the Issue ! How come that our Child theme has some errors before now it works ?

Anyhow it works that is important !
