Color of main menu is wrong just on category pages

My main menu should be black background with light text. This is setup in Header -> Appearance of the Theme Settings. However, on my two category pages the main menu is showing a strange behavior with black text color and a my primary (blue/green) font color as a hover color.
What could be causing this?

Please enter the shop page editing mode and check what text color you have set, make sure it is light: https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/options-for-pages-2/

What is the shop page editing mode? In Theme Settings there is a Shop and Shop page layout both with several options. But no where on these pages is a setting for the light color of the header.

Please navigate to Dashboard > Pages > find Shop page > Edit.
Then scroll the page and find custom meta settings: https://prnt.sc/tnwu6k
Set the colors and this color would be applied to all the categories.
