We are facing a strange issue, Basel theme. Whenever we add more than 1 product in a cart it only shows one product and when we try to remove it the product stays in the cart.
Also on cart page when we try to delete the product by clicking on X sign its not getting deleted but when we make product quantity 0 and click on update cart it works !!! But sometimes it shows previously added products too.
Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by Woocommerce.
If you see the same, deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, check the issue, if the problem remains, leave the plugins not activated and provide the site admin access to the private area.
