Conflict between Woodmart Cookies Banner and WP Rocket "Optimize CSS"
-
Dear,
When I enable the feature “Optimize CSS” in WP Rocket, there is a problem that constantly occur with the Woodmart Cookies Banner.
If you check the video in private, you’ll notice that it keeps getting re-displayed on the screen upon page loads, then disappears again once page load is completed.
Is this something that should be checked on your side or WP Rocket’s side ?
Thanks
I have the same problem, hopefully it can be solved.
Thanks for your feedback Indra, it means it’s not specific to my website but more general. Now we need woodmart support to help us know whether it should be fixed ol their side or WP Rocket’s side.
Hello,
When you enable CSS optimize function then it moves the CSS file to the end of the page. And that means that this part is without any styles while loading. And you see it first and then, when the CSS file is fully loaded, this popup is hidden with a dedicated style. It is how this function works and it is not possible to fix this. You can contact plugin’s developers and maybe they have some fix to such kind of problems.
Kind Regards
Artem,
Then the easiest way to fix this would be to exclude the cookies banner file(s) from this Optimize CSS feature.
WP Rocket has a helper plugin for this. Can you tell me which CSS file is related to the cookies banner. I will add it to the exclude list so it doesnt async the loading of the cookies styles.
Thanks
We don’t have different files for different elements on the website. All our theme styles are located in the style.css
file.
I’ve installed the WP Rocket helper to exclude the file themes/woodmart/style.css
and it’s little better altough it’s reducing the amount of render blocking css that can be eliminated.
You can close this ticket, thanks.
