Alternative to backgrounds by CSS

Hello,
does exist an alternative to use an image as background with some text on?
Backgrounds by WP Bakery (CSS) have a loading system terrible and they influence negatively the loading of some pages in our web site. Please try to use your huge imagination to help us 😄

You can use a Promo banner or Text block and set the background to the column which contains this text bloc or to the row depending on your needs.

Lazy Loading works perfectly with Promo Banners. It should be fine for some functionalities… but it have a lot of graphic limitations. Text block with a row is perfect – I always worked in that way – but with a background set there, it is loaded by CSS. So Lazy Load doesn’t work.
What do you think? The only way is the Promo Banner?

Yes, I would recommend Promo banner as this element is designed for the purpose.

Promo banners are great, but only in some cases. Basel titles are more customizable, so I’d like to continue to use them.
To fix the issue I thought to use as background a normal image and place the text there setting up a -xx% on margin values.
Could it works in your opinion?
