error on checkout with free products
-
when my total order is 0 (free), i cannot complete checkout.
the developer console shows these errors:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘<‘ (index):353
when activating twenty twenty theme i can complete my free order.
Is this issue to do with needing a payment option within the theme?

Hello,
Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by Woocommerce.

Hi,
Thank you for the quick response.
I have activated the Storefront theme and I can complete my purchase without any problems. I do not get the “invalid payment method” error message.
Thanks
Hello,
Sorry for the delay, I am trying to find a product with a zero price and I see all of them are out of stock, please provide the product URL and details to place the order I will check. https://prnt.sc/vwl8yu

hey we have now copied this to a staging URL. Details are below.
Hello,
Sorry for the delay, I have switched to the parent theme and it works. Most likely some code in the child theme destroys the default Woocommerce functionality.

hello,
Did you get taken to the thank you page? when i tested it would not take me to the order received page. the order goes through in the back end and i get an email but it stays on the checkout page. When switching to storefront theme this issue doesnt happen. I have also deactivated all plugins.
Please can you send me a screenshot of the order received page at your end so i know you got it working because I couldn’t?
thanks
