Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can translate/rewrite all theme and plugin texts via PO file in WordPress. Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3
Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. You can remove the plugin and translations would remain. Also, translations would remain after each theme update.
In order to change Woocommerce strings, please go to Loco > plugins Woocommerce and follow the same steps as provided in the video tutorial.
Best Regards

lhughesParticipantUmm, I think I have misunderstood. Tried the loco plugin, I understand how I can change woocommerce text etc.. and I have contacted woocommerce, but they have sent me back here to get help. They are saying woodmart html is overriding their buttons etc… I have attached an image showing what I am tryign to do. Inspecting element part of page reads:
<li class=”menu-item item-level-0 my-account-with-text menu-item-register”>Login / Register
Login / Register ::before Login / RegisterI am just tring to rename “Login / Register” to “Login” only as I have disabled registration on site. I feel like there needs to be some code I need to add to the child themes function file.

lhughesParticipantHi sorry to hassle, but I am not sure how this helps me. I have removed “Register” text in theme settings, but this does not make any changes to my problem. I know this is a small annoying problem, but I don’t allow registration on my site so would really like to remove any reference to it.
I might start again, please really need a fix:
I have attached an image showing what I am tryign to do. Was hoping it was just a bit of CSS or something to remove “Register”. Inspecting element part of page reads:<li class=”menu-item item-level-0 my-account-with-text menu-item-register”>Login / Register
Login / Register ::before Login / RegisterI am just tring to rename “Login / Register” to “Login” only as I have disabled registration on site. I feel like there needs to be some code I need to add to the child themes function file.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I am a bit confused. If you want to disable the Login/Register, you can find the option in Woocommerce > Settings > Account and Privacy.
If you need to rename something, you need to use Loco translate plugin.

lhughesParticipantHi, I dont know how I can explain it any differently, this is getting frustrating, wondering why I paid for extra 6 months support.
I have already disabled “Register” in woocommerce, it was the first thing I did. All I want to do is the simple, yet seems impossible task of removing the word “Register” from your mobile menu as shown in the below image.
The code reference is:
<li class=”menu-item item-level-0 my-account-with-text menu-item-register”>Login / Register
Login / Register ::before Login / RegisterI have a wholesale site, so I do not want to show the text “Register”. I dont know how to access your template through loco, and I have already deleted the text “register” from your theme settings login/register section, which resulted in no changes to site.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I am very sorry for you are disappointed.
The only way to remove “Register” from “Login/Register” in the mobile menu is to rewrite the string with the Loco plugin and then delete this plugin.
It is very easy: https://gyazo.com/cae702f4e5aac8bf6b60b0331569e1e6 and https://gyazo.com/793b81e209e27ff9705f5e000f10ccbe
If you want, we can help you do that. Please confirm and provide the site admin access.

lhughesParticipantHi Elise, thank you so much that is the perfect solution. I just wish I was smart enough to work out how you navigated to the correct file to translate. I am running en_AU language. I cant seem to change / translate the woodmart.pot even if this is the right file.
Sorry for being so dumb, I have had a good crack at it. Can you point me in the right direction what specific file I need to edit? Would love to know how to do this simple task. I have attached some photos of what I am seeing in loco

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You need to enter WoodMart in Loco > Themes > WoodMart then insert “Login” in the search field, you will find the string: https://gyazo.com/cae702f4e5aac8bf6b60b0331569e1e6 remove the works you do not want to show and save.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

lhughesParticipantHi Elise, I am so sorry this must be so frustrating for you. I seem to be missing a simple step or 2. I have been fiddling around for days hoping to find the answer. When i select themes – woodmart, I do not seem to have the option to search for that string, there seems to be no translations. I have attached screenshots… (theme translations 1.pdf | theme translations 2.pdf)
I can navigate to the woodpart.pot file through installed languages – en_US – woodmart – woodmart.pot. Then when I click on “editor” tab, I get the attached screen (editing woodmart pot.pdf). I do not seem to be able to select login / register and translate it, it only shows “source text” and “context” fields.
