Show Variable Product Gallery

Hi guys,
thanks for great work.
I notice that I found a little bug. If I create variable product and add a single image on “Variation Image Gallery” it doesn’t show on frontend as an image variation.
I need to put twice the same image in order to show correctly in frontend. Moreover I think that Gallery of a variable product should be automatic shown with the first image of “Variation Image Gallery”

The only variation tha show correctly (except the first variation where I manually set image on featured product image) is 2009, where I put twice the same image (take a look the attachment).
How can I solve and manage properly variation product?

You need to add at least one image to the main product gallery: https://prnt.sc/104nu46
Then you need to add both the main featured image and gallery image in the variation: https://prnt.sc/104nvbn
