Hello,

We have just updated Contact Form 7 to v5.4 and now the contact form no longer works on our website. When you click send the “send success” message is slow to appear, and we never receive the email.

Can I ask you to check your end. There was absolutely no problem before we updated the plugin.

Please provide the URL of the contact page to check the form myself and help you out accordingly.

Thanks Aizaz,

In the private content you will see some login details to get past the password protection.

As I say, when you send the form we do not receive an email. You aslo see the “success message” is slow to load and only loads the first time you send a message.

Other people are reporting the same problem.

Hello,

I have visited your website and the contact form is working fine as it should be. Please clear cache and check back.

And for the issue of contact form not sending emails please check how it works with the default wordpress theme because the process of email sending is done by contact form plugin and our theme doesn’t influence.

No Aizaz,

The contact form is not working. This is as a result of the last update from contact Form 7.
Please check the contact form 7 on your test site.

Hello Aziz,

I need to apolgise to you as the emails were received by another admin email address. So it does seem to work, but something wrong somewhere which is not to do witht he theme.

Can I still ask you to check your test website, with the latest version of Contact Form 7, and let me know if all is working?

Hello,

Hello Aizaz,

Yes you are correct. The sending is actiually working but there was some strange behaviour before which seems to now be resolved. I am not sure if it was a cache issue or not. Just please quickly double check your test website your end (with the latest contact form 7) and see if all looks fne to you 🙂

You can then close this ticket if all is OK your end.
