rgbadminParticipantWe are noticing an issue with the “Leaving Site? Changes you made may not be saved” pop-up notifications. Typically we notice this pop-up is activated when attempting to leave a page where updates haven’t been saved.
With our newer theme installations, the pop-up is not activated if a page has not been saved causing an issue with workflow.
However, if a page is “Previewed” and you try to close the Preview page’s tab, you will receive the “Leaving Site?” pop-up notifications.
We are using a Windows PC and Google Chrome browser.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
This is the WordPress functionality and our theme does not influence that.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards

rgbadminParticipantWe disabled the theme and all plugins and can isolate the error being caused by the WoodMart Core plugin or WPBakery plugin. Since these plugins are related/included with your theme, can you provide further support?

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please provide your site admin access to the private area.
Please confirm the permit for us to deactivate the plugins not related to the theme and switch to the parent theme for the while of checking what may take up to 15 minutes. Please make the full backup of your site.
Best Regards

rgbadminParticipantCan you let us know what browser and operating system you’re using? We noticing the issue when using Chrome browsers on both PC and Mac.
Here is our problem in a little more detail:
(1). When you’re on a page editing via the backend editor with WPBakery Page Builder and you go to leave the page without saving it’ll allow you to leave without activating the “Leaving Site? Changes you made may not be saved.” pop-upIf you disable all plugins and the theme, you’ll see the pop-up.
(2). If you Preview a page that you’re editing and attempt to close the browser tab or navigate to another page, the “Leaving Site? Changes you made may not be saved” pop-up activates. When we left on Friday, this error was happening frequently. Now, we’re having a hard time recreating it, but I’ve attached a video from another website of hours doing it. They both using the same theme and WordPress version.
I’ve attached some videos for you in the Private Content area.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
We have tested the site without plugins and on the default theme and we do not see this popup. It means that our theme does not influence:

rgbadminParticipantPlease deactivate WPBakery Page Builder plugin and perform the test again. When you attempt to leave an unsaved Page with all plugins disabled, you’ll receive the “Leaving Site? Changes you made will not be saved” pop-up.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I have tested. I have disabled the WP bakery page builder, I have switched to the Twenty Seventeen page and when I leave without the saving I see this message, this is WordPress message, preventing you from losing the changes when you try to leave without saving.
Best Regards
March 17, 2021 at 1:27 pm #274339
rgbadminParticipantYes, that is our point. When all plugins are disabled and you’re on the standard theme, you receive the pop-up as intended. When all plugins are active and we’re using the Woodmart theme, you do not receive the pop-up.
Not receiving the pop-up when working with the Woodmart theme is causing an issue with workflow. If we accidentally click somewhere, we’re losing hours worth of work.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
WoodMart supports all the default WordPress features: https://prnt.sc/10okxtv When I edit the page at my testing site and try to leave without saving I see this: https://prnt.sc/10okxtv
Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, check the issue, If the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.
Best Regards
March 18, 2021 at 1:09 pm #274597
rgbadminParticipantThe Woodmart Core plugin or the WPBakery Page Builder plugin is overriding this default WordPress feature.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I have tested once more on the testing site, the message appears. The problem may be caused by the plugin or customization.
Best Regards
March 19, 2021 at 1:07 pm #274877
rgbadminParticipantThere are no customizations. The plugins causing the problem are either the Woodmart Core plugin or the WPBakery Page Builder plugin. How do you plan to remedy the issue? These plugins are part of your theme.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Yes, it is the way WPBakery overrides the standard WordPress functionality. We will forward this issue to the plugin’s developers and hope they would fix it soon in their updates.
Kind Regards
March 22, 2021 at 3:33 pm #275475
rgbadminParticipantWhen can we expect a response from WPBakery?
March 22, 2021 at 10:40 pm #275479
Artem TemosKeymasterSorry, but we don’t know when they will change this behavior and if they change it at all.
March 23, 2021 at 2:05 pm #275772
rgbadminParticipantWe’re simply asking when can we expect a reply from WPBakery regarding the ticket you’ve submitted?
March 23, 2021 at 3:07 pm #275779
Artem TemosKeymasterThey have already answered and accepted the bug report.
