DmaspotParticipantHi.
I have 3 questions about search results, based on properties and variations, and I need your help.
when I search by color-based filters eg “black”, it shows all products that have variations in black, but their images may even correspond to another color.
E.g. Looking for: Men’s> Boots> Black, shows all men’s boots, but also in their other variations colors.
1) How will product images appear to the visitor, only in the color in which they did the search in the first place?
Respectively, in a search based on size, eg Men> 39, it appears in the search results even products in which 39 are no longer in stock.
2) How will the currently unavailable products be automatically restricted, so that only the available ones of the variant sought are displayed?
3) If there is a plugin that solves all the above, which one do you suggest?
I tried the FiboSearch – AJAX Search for WooCommerce, which supposedly supports the Woodmart theme and can easily replace all default search bars. But when check the box to make the replacement, the built it Woodmart search app stops working.
Thanks

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
The product search and attribute filtering are the Woocommerce functionality and our theme does not influence that or has the option to change. Please try to search for a plugin changing the basic Woocommerce search and filtering.
Please enter the product variation and you will find the option to disable it, you can apply the option to disable out-of-stock variation.
In addition, Woocommerce has the option to hide out-of-stock products from the catalog. You can find it in the Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory
Best Regards

DmaspotParticipantOk thank you for your answer about WooCommerce for attributes and variations filtering.
But what about the built in search app? Like I said I tried both Relevanssi and FiboSearch – AJAX Search for WooCommerce and by the time I activate any of them they only work as a widget on the side menu and the built in search app stops working.
How can I solve this?
Thanks

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem.
Best Regards

KasParticipantHi, did you get this resolved by any chance?
I also have a problem with Fibosearch – when replacing the theme’s default search functionality with Fibo one using their automatic replace method, Woodmart fullscreen search window does not open at all. Mobile menu search field is replaced and works.I don’t want to have a search form input field in the header of the site – is there a way to fix it or can I replace the fullscreen search input with fibo search field manually? What files should I modify? Or rather how can I replace it so the functionality does not get lost on theme updates?
Thanks.June 22, 2021 at 9:58 pm #301557
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
The Mobile version does not support full-screen search. You can use only the search input field form on mobile.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to replace it with full-screen. There are options that are not supported in mobile due to their nature, such as a mega menu, full-width search.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards
