Error when trying to update WPBakery plugin

    Hello,
    When trying to update the WPBakery plugin from 6.2.0 to 6.6, I receive the following error: An error occurred while updating WPBakery Page Builder: Update package not available.

    I tried purchasing a new WPBakery license from the plugin developer, but when going to Plugins -> WPBakery Page Builder -> Settings -> Product License tab, I receive the following error: Cannot load vc-updater.

    I emailed WPBakery support and this is what they told me:

    The issue is because the WPBakery Page Builder menu and its product license is disabled by the theme. You can get in touch with the theme developer and get rid of the code used to disable both in the theme to get them back. Once done, you can then access the WPBakery Page Builder menu and activate its license as per: https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/activate-wpbakery-page-builder-wordpress-license/

    I would appreciate your assistance with this.

    Hello,

    WPBakery Page Builder and Revolution slider come bundled with our theme but they can’t be activated with our purchase code. Actually, you don’t need to do this. Only in case you want to get free premium support from its author, you can purchase it from Codecanyon. But it is not necessary since we will always provide you with the latest updates in Appearance > Install plugins.

    If you have any problems (these problems are often caused by the host security or size max size limitations) you can upload the recent version of the plugins from this forum profile and install via Dashboard > Plugins or FTP.

    1. Make the full backup of your site.

    2. Deactivate and delete the current version.

    3. Upload the new version from your portfolio on this forum.

    4. Upload in Dashboard > Plugins and install.

    If you need help in updating the plugin, let me know I will update. If you have any questions or something not clear, please contact us first of all.
