Error in theme when staged the site

My host did clone the site. On the cloned site, the header can not be changed. It works if the clone is created in a catalogue under the root of the main site, but when it is cloned to a subdomain there is errors. This was the answer from the host:“We can assure you that we have made a complete copy of the database and files of your websites.
However, it appears that the custom changes you have applied to the theme were not saved.
After reviewing this we were not able to establish why the theme is using the default settings. We presume that this is due to the fact that the domain was a change but yet this is only a suggestion and does not necessarily mean that this has caused the misconfiguration.
You could address this to the vendor of the theme as they may have more information on the matter and advise you what steps should be taken in order to save the settings of the theme.
You will have to replicate the configuration from the live site over to the staging copy.”
Can you take a look why that happend and I cant change header in the header builder. Header builder say that the correct header is activated, but the default is activated instead.

We have just tested your header and it works well. We don’t see any problems when trying to resave or customize it.

StylingAgentenParticipantHi, it is because you overwrited the header with the default header now, I can explain;
If you enter the header “Header Cosmetics use”, it takes you to the “Default header layout” header instead, you than see that name. If you save it you will than overwrite the settings in “Header Cosmetics use” and it will be named “Default header layout” instead.
Please see what can be fault.

Do you have ny update on this. TMDHosting tried to stage the site inside the public folder. But the same issue appear. You did an specific update on a bug on the theme in another ticket I have here. Can something hapened on that update?They still say it is wrong with the theme:
“We are updating this ticket in order to inform you that the process of cloning your website was successfully completed.
Regretfully, we must inform you that the header section of your website differs from the original website and as we have informed you in ticket #736753, the issue appears to be somehow related to the theme of your website.
Rest assured that we have followed a well-established procedure in order to clone your website. However, despite our best efforts and several attempts, we were unable to create an exact replica. Having this information in mind, we would suggest contacting the vendor of the theme for further information on the matter.”
