Performance improvement ideas for woodmart theme

    Hi folks, we have been avoiding to go into production due to slow performance of the site. Hence looking every option to shave off even 10ms, based on your experience with your theme do you have any suggestions? I am just using grorcery theme and have all pages to trash that I do not use. Going to do the same with all html blocks as well.

    We have tested your website and found a few problems that you should fix first to speed up your website.

    1. There are some errors loading resources on your website. Probably, they are caused by your hosting server or installed plugins. https://prnt.sc/13mr77s

    2. Your home page size is 8-9MB+ which is too much. It may be due to large not optimized images, JS, CSS files, plugins etc. https://gyazo.com/6625a85571703b3411791e251daf8c1c

    3. Turn off all third-party plugins first and optimize your website. Then, add necessary plugins one by one and check the speed accordingly.

    5. Use WP Rocket plugin to optimize your website’s JS, CSS and cache.

    6. Use some CDN service like KeyCDN.

    Hi different icons e.g. home account, wishlist etc are not being shown on android and in windows chrome. they work fine on iPhone.

    Also burger menu wroks as filter on page while shows menu when placed in menu and mobile bottom nav bar.

    Also is there a size format guidline for preloader, it does not work on android and desktop, i put a small mp4 and it works only on iphone.

    Can you please look into these issues and revert.

    Hello,

    Check if you have a correct URL set in Dashboard -> Settings -> General. It should start with HTTPS if you are using an SSL certificate on your website. Then go to Theme Settings and resave them. If it doesn’t help, please, provide us your admin access so we can check.

    Also while at it please check why the attributes, recently seen products etc are not visible in filter on mobile when we choose a category from menu and the press filter or sidebar.

    That code has been added recently, but the icons not showing problems was there in past as well before that too, I just reported it laste as I was busy in sorting out other things.would you have any idea what chnage is need in that code?

    Hi removed the that code, went back to the theme also removed the child, incognito mode, cache clerance etc etc, all scenarios tried. Results are same. Screens shots are attached. Though this issue does not appear on iOS both on safari or chrome. And wanted you to be further aware that I tried updating to yesterdays release and that failed, screen for that is also attached.

    Hello,

    You need to go to Theme Settings -> Performance -> Fonts and change font-display to swap.

    Try to do the following to update the theme:

    1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.

    2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.

    3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.

    4. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.

    5. Try to update the theme via Appearance -> Themes or via Dashboard -> Updates.

    the theme chnages have become responsive so that os working only challenge left is preloader on android and windows, in apple it shows fine..

    You are using MP4 video format and it is not allowed there. You need to use JPG, PNG, SVG or GIF there.
