kristalParticipantAfter updating Woodmart to version 6.0.1, the cart widget when opened is not darkening the rest of the screen like it used to, and it doesn’t close automatically after a period of time even though it is set to in the theme settings.
The same thing happens with the mobile menu.
The area is not darkened and when you click on an empty area, the Menu is not hidden back.A similar problem has already been voiced by the user testing123 here: https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/cart-widget-not-darkening-the-rest-of-the-screen-and-not-closing-automatically/
and he somehow solved it, but did not write how exactly. And it is impossible to ask him directly – your forum does not allow it.I’ve now switched the Shopping Cart widget to a different mode so that customers don’t have any trouble buying.
Please help me solve the problem.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please update the theme to 6.0.4 version and check the issue, if the problem persists, please contact us.
Best Regards
June 19, 2021 at 5:04 pm #300810
kristalParticipantThe fact is that I have a long version of the theme 6.0.4.
The problem has not disappeared.June 19, 2021 at 11:24 pm #300833
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
So, you have the recent 6.0.4 version, don’t you?
Does the problem persist? If so, please, provide your site admin access to the private area.
Please confirm the permit for us to deactivate the plugins not related to the theme and switch to the parent theme for the while of checking what may take up to 15 minutes. Please make the full backup of your site.
Best Regards
June 20, 2021 at 4:53 pm #300897
kristalParticipantYes, that’s right. I have 6.0.4.
The problem persists.
I can grant access to your developers, but I can’t disable anything. Since this site belongs to a large production company. The site sells drinking water around the clock. Now everything works there as it is necessary for the owners of the enterprise, except for what I listed in the first message. And these problems appeared immediately after the theme update. If I disable something on the site now and sales stop, the company will start losing profits, and I will be hung by my eggs on the nearest tree 🙂 I hope you understand.
I also have to say that I wrote a lot of my own styles and functions for this client. Therefore, the site has a child theme.
Alternatively, I can make a full copy of the site, along with the database, and provide it to you so that you can deploy the site locally and identify the cause of the problems. I can make a copy with the Duplicator plugin.
Is this option suitable for you? What do you say?June 20, 2021 at 10:57 pm #300954
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please clone your site and move to some staging area so that we could check and suggest the solution.
Best Regards
June 21, 2021 at 4:34 am #300968
kristalParticipantToday I will copy the site to a technical domain and give you unlimited access to a copy of the site.
June 21, 2021 at 4:38 am #300969
kristalParticipantBy the way, won’t a copy hurt my main site? It turns out that the WoodMart theme will be activated with one key on two domains. On the main and on the technical level.
June 21, 2021 at 10:34 am #301052
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
In no way, you can clone your site move to a testing domain, and activate the license, one license can be activated twice: on the life and on the testing domains.
Some of the users run two: life and testing in order to test a plugin or customization before adding to the live site.
Best Regards
June 21, 2021 at 1:23 pm #301112
kristalParticipantYou contradict yourself. Read your message above. There you write yourself: “clone your site”.
Of course, the clone site will have an activated license.
What should I do?June 21, 2021 at 1:30 pm #301113
kristalParticipantA technical domain is a test domain.
It will look like this: vcrist8y.beget.techJune 21, 2021 at 2:26 pm #301133
kristalParticipantCan I just deactivate a topic on a technical domain? Right?
June 21, 2021 at 2:27 pm #301134
kristalParticipantI apologize for my crooked English.
June 21, 2021 at 3:51 pm #301148
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
1. Make a copy of your site (clone or export the site files)
2. Place in your testing domain, activate the license.
Best Regards
June 21, 2021 at 4:31 pm #301159
kristalParticipantI deployed a copy of the site.
You can disable and check anything there.
The main thing is that you help to sort out the problems that have arisen. And that everything works as before-well. Like on your demo site https://woodmart.xtemos.com/
Namely: adding a product to the cart (pop-up widget on the right and darkening); authorization/registration in the profile (pop-up widget on the right and darkening); as well as the mobile menu-now it opens, but there is no darkening and it does not disappear if you click on the area next to it.
On version 5.3.6, all this worked fine.P.S. For clarity, I even recorded a short video.
P.S. Right now, the shopping cart and registration/authorization widgets generally work very strangely. They used to at least appear, and now they don’t even appear.
June 22, 2021 at 7:43 am #301296
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You need to set the “sidebar” format in both desktop and mobile:

June 22, 2021 at 7:58 am #301305
kristalParticipantYes, indeed on the technical site it started working correctly.
I did as you said on the main site and nothing works there.
Everything is as it was. The mobile menu appears, but there is no blackout. And the menu is not hidden after clicking on the area next to it.
The same goes for the bucket widget. Please describe all the actions that you did on the test site.
June 22, 2021 at 8:03 am #301307
kristalParticipantAnd another question: did you do everything on a child theme? Didn’t switch to the parent theme?
June 22, 2021 at 8:07 am #301309
kristalParticipantI just noticed that some of my custom functions don’t work. For example, recalculating the price in the shopping cart.
I suspect that you have disabled the child theme. And I can’t disable it on the main site. There are a lot of necessary fixes and additions.June 22, 2021 at 8:28 am #301316
kristalParticipantLet’s still solve the problem in the child theme.
After all, child themes are used everywhere and are designed precisely to safely make their own improvements and custom styles.
And the latest update to WoodMart somehow broke the child theme as well. These are not the only errors that occurred after the update. I just fixed the others myself.Let’s look for the causes of problems with the child theme. Where these problems occurred in your client. And not to switch to the mother’s topic and say “we are doing well”.
I have granted you full access to a copy of the site. If something in the child theme conflicts with the main functionality of WoodMart, let’s find these conflicts and try to fix them.June 22, 2021 at 8:45 am #301321
kristalParticipantI remind you that all the problems started only after the update to version 6+. Before that, I was quietly updating in the 5+ branch and everything was fine. Moreover, I had a child theme installed from the very beginning. And all the main improvements and custom styles I did BEFORE the update to 6+.
June 22, 2021 at 8:53 am #301323
kristalParticipantEspecially since I wasn’t the only one who had such problems. The user testing123 solved these problems independently. ( https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/cart-widget-not-darkening-the-rest-of-the-screen-and-not-closing-automatically/ )
I would ask him, but there is no such possibility.June 22, 2021 at 9:37 am #301336
kristalParticipantIn addition, I see that you have disabled almost all plugins. Do you suggest that I switch to the parent theme on my work site and turn off most of the plugins? Seriously? And send all my site’s customers to competitors? And close my business?
June 22, 2021 at 9:49 am #301346
kristalParticipantWhich plugin causes the conflict? What styles cause conflict? What functions or scripts cause a conflict? What should I change in the child theme to solve the problem?
Let’s look into these issues?
I can switch to the parent theme and disable all plugins without your help. This is not advice. This is the removal of responsibility from yourself.June 22, 2021 at 10:20 am #301350
kristalParticipantJust now, on the test site, I turned back on the child theme. But I left the plugins turned off.
And everything works well. So the reason for the errors is in some plugin.
Some plugin is causing a conflict.
Let’s just figure out which plugin is interfering with normal operation?June 22, 2021 at 12:54 pm #301424
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You say that “indeed on the technical site it started working correctly.” now activate the necessary plugins one by one and detect check the site, if there are any problems, you will know which plugins cause the problem. Perhaps you will activate the plugins one by one and everything would work properly.
Finally, activate the child theme and check the site.
If the technical site works well, configure the live site in the same manner or improt/export settongs or the whole site.
Best Regards
June 22, 2021 at 2:39 pm #301471
kristalParticipantI’ve done everything you’ve written. And obviously, the problem is not with plugins. The problem is in the child topic.
The fact is that when I activated the child theme and all the plugins, the basket widgets and the mobile menu only work correctly on the main page.
On the other pages, the problem persists.
When I turn off the child theme and switch to the parent theme, everything works correctly on other pages.
Very strange behavior. For clarity, I recorded a video.
June 22, 2021 at 2:50 pm #301473
kristalParticipantI have a suspicion. When in the 5th branch of WoodMart there was a css theme generator, I turned off a lot of unnecessary styles there and thus I formed a new css file. In your documentation, you recommended doing this to reduce the size of the css. Then there was an update to 6+ and there you removed this css theme generator. And I still have the same style file. Perhaps this is the reason for the errors. But I’m not so sure. And how to fix this situation now is also unclear.

June 23, 2021 at 3:42 pm #301909
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You need to take the files from the parent theme and customize them again as the recent version has changed considerably. https://take.ms/jcj58
