Search for products not working

    hey there

    somehow, my search in the header builder is working for posts, but not for products.
    when i type in an existing product, it is not shown in the search.

    – how can i fix this?
    – also, can you give me an advise, how can i configure a search bar which shows product and post results in one search? just as you guys did it on your theme template…?

    just to be clear, i am talking about this search results here. basically, i just want to do the same on my page.

    Hello,

    Please navigate to Woodmart > Header builder http://prntscr.com/iyd2pe

    Choose the proper header type (your current) http://prntscr.com/iyd333

    Find the Search element and set searching by product http://prntscr.com/iyd3h3

    It is not possible to make a search both by product and by post.

    i already tried your method, but unfortunatelly it is not working. please try to do that, so you know what i mean:

    – go to your theme demo and type in “chair”. you will se “products” and “posts” in your results. i want to do the same on my page, cause that is nice!

    – go to my site on desktop, there i have made the changes on my header as you described. the searching is done by “product” but it shows no results, no matter what i am trying to type in.

    any idea how to fix this, looks like a bug or something to me…?

    Hello,

    Please enable this option “Display results from the blog” in the Theme Setting > General

    This option has been recently added. Sorry for the confusion.

    hey there

    thanks for that – have found the funciton.

    But i think you missunderstood:
    my search is not working properly for products.
    for instance:
    i have a product called “starkstrom”. if i search for it on the search bar, it is not found.

    Hello,

    Please deactivate all the plugins except these ones:

    Slider Revolution
    WPBakery Page Builder or Elementor
    Woodmart Core
    Contact Form 7
    MailChimp for WordPress
    WooCommerce
    Safe SVG

    If the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.

    In case, the problem remains, even after all the plugins are deactivated, provide your site admin access (insert the site credentials into the Private content block under the message area) and confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, switching to the parent or default theme. This testing may take up to 15 minutes. You would better make the full backup of your site.

    Allright, thanks for that.
    i thougt it has something to do with the theme settings, but i managed to find the plugin and it works now fine, thanks for your support! 🙂

    btw.: is it also possible to add “pages” besides “products” and “posts” to my search results?

    Hello,

    You will need a plugin for that. You can try this one: “Ivory Search” search by pages. We have not tested this plugin, I have heard about it. We do not guarantee 100% compatibility.
