Transparent header light to dark

Hey, I have the exact request in this post: https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/change-transparent-top-menu-light-after-scrolling-down-to-dark/

I tried the suggested code but it only worked for the background, not the menu items. I want them to start in white and change to black on scroll. Could you please help me out?
