Thank you very much for choosing our theme and for contacting us.
The theme has changed completely for this period. When you update the theme, all the content would remain, however, all the settings, custom CSS and other customization would be lost. You will have to recreate it all from scratch.
I would recommend you to do the following:
1. Create the staging platform, install the recent version of the theme and upload the demo.
2. Create the header as per your live site: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/header-builder/
3. The create footer: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/set-up-footer/
4. Configure and recreate the sidebar and widgets: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/widgets/
5. Delete all the demo content you do not need;
6. Export-import the content by means Dashboard > Tools > Export /Import.
7. Then migrate the staging site to the live site.
