Jeriss Cloud CenterParticipantDear,
All Woodmart users who are hosting their websites on Cloudways will soon have an issue if they’re using WP Rocket. Indeed, WP Rocket has announced in one of their improvement ticket on Github that they will automatically enable their feature “Create separate cache for mobile devices” on the themes that they believe need this (Woodmart is in the list).
https://github.com/wp-media/wp-rocket/issues/4376
However, there is a known issue with this feature on Cloudways environment, as documented by WP Rocket themselves in their documentation.
https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/493-using-varnish-with-wp-rocket#varnish-mobile-cache
There is a workaround to fix this, that is to add some code provided by WP Rocket in their Github ticket into the Varnish
default.vcl
but Cloudways doesn’t provide any access to this file. They say they can do the change only if you subscribre to their premium support that costs 100$ per MONTH (!)In this situation, your users will be completely stuck. Can you please contact Cloudways and see if they can find us a solution please? I believe I’m not the only Woodmart + WPRocket user on Cloudways, so it’s also in your interest to look into it.
Thanks for your help

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
This problem occurs between WP Rocket and CloudWays, WoodMart theme does not have any options to influence that, you need to get in touch with the plugin and host support.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards

Jeriss Cloud CenterParticipantHello,
I understand that it’s not directly between your hands, but still your theme is highly impacted by this problem. How do you want your users who host their site on Cloudways to have a theme properly working if they’re not able to adjust their configuration.
I’m asking you to play a role of mediator here to contact Cloudways, so that they adjust their Varnish configuration (as given in the link) so that your theme can properly work. If you don’t provide any help here, thousands of your Woodmart users will have problems!
Please provide help here.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
We tested Cloudways hosting and one of our demo websites work well there with this option turned on https://woocommerce-625997-2033187.cloudwaysapps.com/
To resolve this problem, WP Rocket support should contact Cloudways since they know best how their option work and how it conflicts with Cloudways.
Kind Regards
