Switching from WPBakery to Elementor

    Hi there,

    I built my site using WPBakery as that was the only option when I joined you. I was always happy with it, but a developer told me that it is “one of the most bloated and with the worse performance.”

    I am wondering whether I should switch to using Elementor, for the sole reason of reducing the website bloat and improving page load speeds. What is your opinion here? You know both softwares extensively and how your theme interacts with them. What do you suggest and is it worth the time investment? I have listed my website in the private area so you can see it.

    Hello,

    WoodMart works with either WP Bakery builder or Elementor builder at once, but not with both at the same time. In the process of the installation of the plugin, please install one building plugin, you are going to use. It is not possible to convert an existing site that is built on WP bakery page builder into Elementor. Page builders plugins are provided in Appearance -> Install plugins.

    Hi there,

    Ok theoretically if I rebuilt my website using Elelmentor(which would be a lot of work) would it give any real page speed boost by using Elementor rather tham WPBakery. I am assuming not, but good to get your thoughts as you have worked extensively with both.

    Hello,

    The site speed depends on the content you have added to your website. It may happen in case of too many plugins, large not optimized images, or other resources. So we suggest you remove unnecessary plugins, install some kind of JS & CSS optimizing plugins like Better WordPress Minify and a caching plugin like WP Super Cache. Also, you can use the GTmetrix tool to see what makes your website slow and optimize these parts of your website. You can make a staging site install WoodMart with Elementor and compare.
