Hi there, I got a question about Child theme. If I create a header.php on child theme I need to copy the original header.php and then paste my customization. Ok, but what happen if in a next theme update you will update also the original header.php? How I can check a similar update?
    Thank you.

    Hi,

In such situation, you would better copy the new updated file and apply your changes again. Or you can keep an outdated file if you don’t need the changes from the latest update.

Sure, but how I can check if you updated a specific page? I think that check every page can be a long long work 😀

We understand but in most cases, you need to override a few files only. If you change a lot of files from the parent theme then yes, you may have a lot of conflicts in the future.

By the way, did you contacted Envato about not responded support requests?

Mh, I understood. I contact Envato about another plugin, I really do not understand why they ask to you 😑

OK, no problem 🙂 Maybe you need to write them in your support request since they seem to understand you wrong.

They already wrote me and I say that I asked about another plugin, not you 😄

About child theme, I think that could be useful when there are many edited files, but when the raws added to functions.php and a pair of others files are only a bit, maybe could be better copy and paste between versions. What do you think?

Sorry, what do you mean by that?

Do not worry, I think that I’ll continue to not use a child theme. I prefer got all theme files updated and paste every time some rows on function.php and footer.php

    OK, as you wish 🙂
