    Hi dear suppport,

    After two years I’m impressed of the amazing changes Xtemos has made,

    ⭐ Problem:
    I would like to update my website to the latest version from 3.2.0 –> to 6.2.4
    Once clicked “update” button and it’s done, the website messed up

    ⭐Backgrond:
    1. All changes made in Wp staging status
    2. All plugins have updated to latest version, except of (WPbakery plugin) which I was not able to do so.
    3. I have made a few CSS in the Child theme

    ⭐So I kindly ask for your help to please have a check:
    – How can I update the theme without messing it up
    – Can I give you access to my staging site so you can have a look for me? (You can do any changes you need as it won’t affect my live site)

    Hello,

    The theme has been changed considerably since 3.2.0. Please restore the site from the backup (I do hope you have made, if you have not, contact the host support, let them check, perhaps there was an automatic update and they can restore the site)

    Then I would recommend you arrange a staging site and install a new WordPress installation.

    Install the theme and upload the demo (if you want demo) then, recreate the header in the Header builder: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/header-builder/ you can try export-import header from your live site to the testing: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/header-builder/how-to-exportimport-headers/

    Then recreate or migrate the footer and all the widgets area. As soon as you finish the site configuration, delete all the demos you do not need, and import-export the content from your live site.

    Finally, you can add the other plugins from the live site one by one checking the site. Then as soon as the site is ready you can move it to the live site.

    May I know if it is possible that

    1. Can I duplicate a staging site, then update the theme directly to it by clicking “Update”?

    2. And how do I update the “WPBakery Page Builder” please?

    If you update the theme from the previous version, you will get the crashed site.

    I have provided the steps to recreate your site in the quickest and correct way.

    ⭐ How to update the “WPBakery Page Builder plugin” that comes with the Woodmart theme?

    ❌ It seems not possible in WordPress by simply clicking on “Update”

    I have tried but it doesn’t work,

    Screenshot attached, it requires for an active license which I don’t seem to have (WP Bakery Plugin was installed with the theme)

    In Appearance > there is no place to install/update plugins, can you have a check please?
