    hi how can I add a tax code field and a VAT number field at checkout?

    When you configure the tax it would appear in the checkout automatically: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shipping-and-tax/woocommerce-tax/

    but before you write nonsense, do you do some verification? The tax calculation option is enabled but at the time of checkout no field appears to enter the tax code or VAT number
