Category icons all showing above the slider

Hi
I am having trouble where the category icons for some reason are now showing all at the top of the home page. Not sure why and have checked all the setting but cannot find why this would be. I have attached a screen shot showing the category icons at the top above the slider on the Home Page. I do not want them showing at all and they do not show even on the page editor….not sure where they are coming from? Login details below if needed.

Also this could be part of the same issue but the menu is overlapping the category icons as shown on the screen shot and url link is below:

Also for the record I deactivated all plug ins and the issue was still there…..

If you want to make it open on hover then you need to edit the page and scroll down and disable the open categories menu.

There are 2 problems:
1) Why are all the categories showing above the slider as they are not suppose to show at all on the home page and they are showing right across the full width of the page so showing under the category menu.
2) The category menu is staying open at all times and not closing when scrolling or when going to another page

I have resolved the issue…it was to do with woocommerce base page that I changed

I have Removed the categories from the header. Please clear cache and check back.
