Hello! I have just tested my website (cesaicumpar.ro) with PageSpeed Dev, and the biggest opportunity on mobile is to “Properly size images” – https://postimg.cc/3dJ71N74

I use Imagify to optimize images, and I e-mailed them with my problem. This is their response:

Your theme loads larger image sizes and resizes the appearance of those images through HTML and/or CSS attributes. This results in the browser downloading a larger image file than the dimensions actually applied displaying the image.

A solution would be for the theme to provide a selection of different image sizes for the browser to choose from, or (if that’s not possible, for example for CSS background images), to serve the image in a smaller size that would fit its actual presentation.

This type of issue is not related to Imagify; it should be addressed by the theme provider.

So, I came to you. What can I do to solve this issue?

    Hello,

Please try defining the size of images in the images element you have used then check back after clearing the cache.

    Best Regards

Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean. What is “images element you have used”?

    Hello,

You need to edit these elements and try modifying the images sizes.

So I have to manually resize all of the 500+ images from my website?

I think this doesn’t have something to do with Imagify’s reply to my e-mail and I’m sure there’s gotta be a faster way to solve this problem.

    Hello,

Sorry but you have to change the sizes of the images manually by editing. We could not set them for all.

    Best Regards
