Move terms & conditions text underneath place order button

Hi support,

I would like to place the terms and conditions text underneath the place order button and remove the checkbox as ASOS is doing. This way we could change text to for example: By placing your order you agree to our Terms & Conditions, privacy and returns policies. You also consent to some of your data being stored, which may be used to make future shopping experiences better for you.

Is this possible through the functions.php as I’m using the Child theme?
